I first met Jennifer and her mom Debbie nearly a year ago at the Washington Bridal Showcase, I remember very well because they asked me a lot of questions about shooting at a ski resort and I thought it was a pretty cool idea (pardon the pun) to have a wedding at a ski lodge, so I was really hopeful that I would be the photographer they chose for the occasion. As the date approached I had visions of lots of fun, lots of cold, lots of snow and outdoors portraits of this beautiful couple on their wedding day - so I packed all sorts of boots and gloves that I could wear while shooting in preparation - but as it turned out there were few, if any outside shots to be had since it was very overcast and windy out for most of the time, which doesnt make for very good wedding photos...but all was not lost because it was on and poppin INSIDE anyway and we had a ball! The wedding and reception were beautiful, naturally, but I have to say that you dont go to many weddings where EVERYONE is so lively and joyful, from the wedding party all the way on up to the parents and even grandparents! I literally said to myself several times throughout the day that this is really my kinda wedding!
Well I've blathered on long enough, here are some of my favorites from the day...
